Unique Learning System is a resource designed specifically to help students with moderate to significant support needs master their state’s extended standards. From one convenient, cloud?based platform, educators deliver differentiated, standards?aligned content enhanced by powerful assessments, data tools, and evidence?based instructional support. Students from pre-K through transition have the advantage of consistent, high-quality instruction, a motivating interactive learning environment, engaging symbol support, and a path to independence.
Unique Learning System includes monthly units with each grade band of differentiated lessons, and standards-aligned content for ELA, math, social studies & science, and transition. In addition to an abundance of teaching materials, ULS allows teachers and case managers to assess students' learning using the GPS tool which has differentiated assessments, with the ability to progress monitor students throughout their PreK- T experience.

Who Should Attend: Educators who use the Unique Learning System
Satisfactory completion requirements:
- Attendance is based on your signature in and out of the session. Failure to provide a signature in and out will result in no credit. Virtual attendance is taken via completion of a Form using a hyperlink or QR code.
- Participants are expected to attend the entire session to earn credit.
- All participants must have a Unique Learning log in and password to come to training so that you can engage with the materials, and set things up for your classroom as the session progresses. If you are a TrueNorth or member district staff and are not sure if you have a license, please ask your direct administrator, prior to signing up for this training.
- Participants must complete an electronic course evaluation within two weeks of the session date to be sent a certificate.

Cost Information: Participation fees are waived for TrueNorth employees, TrueNorth member district employees, and parents of students in our TrueNorth member districts. For individual participants who do not meet the above criteria, this course participation fee is $300.00. Participation or material fees will be billed directly to the school district that employs the participant after the session is complete or the first session in a series is complete. Individuals are asked to not bring payment to the session.
Cancellation and Refund Information: There is no cancellation fee, though we ask for advance notice to open the spot for another person. TrueNorth reserves the right to cancel any session due to low enrollment. TrueNorth does not charge prior to the start of the offered session. If an individual attends the first day of a learning series but is unable to attend the remaining sessions, the school district that employs the participant is able to designate an alternate person. It is up to the individual no longer attending the program to give their replacement the information learned in the first session.
About the Presenters: Cheryl Woolwine, MLIS, M-EDU, ATP is an educator with a master's degree in Educational Technology and is also a RESNA Certified Assistive Technology Professional (ATP). She has over 30 years of experience in special education with the past 15 years as Lead Assistive Technology Specialist and Curriculum Specialist for Exceptional Student Education for Putnam County Schools, in Palatka, Florida. She is a state recognized Local Assistive Technology Specialist for Putnam County Schools, where she coordinates AT services for the district. She presents at many international and national conferences such as ATIA, CEC, ISTE, & FETC, on a variety of topics including literacy, universal design, AAC, Curriculum for Special Ed. and assistive technology. She has managed and trained teachers in the use of the Unique Learning System Curriculum for PCSD special education department since 2011.
